The city of Nashua is located in Hillsborough County and is home to approximately 89,000 people, which makes it the second largest city in the state of New Hampshire- second only to Manchester. It is nestled forty-six miles north of Boston and a short drive to the state’s largest city of Manchester. Founded in 1655 as a fur-trading town, Nashua later was built around the now-departed textile industry. In recent decades it became part of the economic growth and expansion of the Boston region and twice was named by Money Magazine as a “best place to live”. The arrival of Digital Equipment Corp. (now Hewlett-Packard) was the start of making the city part of the high-tech corridor to Boston.
The town has a total area of 31.8 square miles with the downtown considered a regional commercial, entertainment and dining destination. Amherst Street and the Danial Webster Highway offer many shopping options including the Pheasant Lane Mall.

Our middle school students benefit from a District-wide, student-centered philosophy of teaching that utilizes teaming of teachers with common planning time and teacher-led advisories. Our youngest learners benefit from neighborhood elementary schools that cater to building a sense of community and a focus on strong, fundamental early childhood education.
